Church AVL FAQ
-
Amplio Systems is a church AVL integrator based in Schaumburg, Illinois. We design, install, and support audio, video, lighting, and acoustics systems for churches nationwide, and we've been doing it since 2013. Amplio means to come alongside something already underway and add to it. That's how we work: we're a partner, not a contractor.
-
Yes. Only churches. We don't serve any other market. Every person on our team, every system we design, and every decision we make is built around serving the local church.
-
Look for an integrator that only works with churches, uses its own full time staff for design and installation, and stays with you after launch. Amplio Systems checks all three. We've partnered with hundreds of churches over 13 years, our team is made up of former church staff and production leaders, and we partner with over 800 manufacturers so the right gear goes in your room, not the gear that's easiest to sell.
-
A church AVL integrator designs, installs, and supports the audio, video, and lighting in a worship space. That includes system design, gear selection, installation, programming, training your team, and support after the install so everything keeps working Sunday after Sunday.
-
Hire an integrator if the system needs to work as a whole. Buying direct can save on individual items, but an integrator makes sure the speakers fit the room, video and lighting work together, and your team is trained to run it. Amplio does both: full integration, or gear sales from 800+ manufacturers if you only need equipment.
-
All sizes. From small traditional rooms to brand new large auditoriums, and everything in between. Most of our projects are growing churches stepping into their next season of ministry.
-
As early as possible, ideally before you choose a building or set a budget. The most common mistakes churches make are involving their AVL partner too late, setting unrealistic budgets, choosing a building that doesn't fit their programming, putting money in the wrong areas of production, and ending the partnership right after launch.
-
Our process has four steps. Build a relationship: we listen to your needs, goals, and challenges to understand your situation. Create a design: we deliver a detailed proposal with recommended solutions, timeline, and costs. Deliver a solution: once approved, we order gear and install, with regular updates until it's done right and on time. Support the future: after launch, we stay with you for troubleshooting, upgrades, and technical questions.
-
It depends on the church. Every project is different in scope, gear list, and complexity, so there's no one price that fits. What we promise is a complete, fully functioning system in our proposal, not a low number that turns into a stack of change orders later. A church's AVL system is an investment for the next 15 to 20 years, and we take stewarding it seriously. Talk with our team to get a real number for your room.
-
Every project is custom, so every timeline is too. Scope, gear lead times, and construction schedules all shape how long your install takes, and we assess your project and map out the timeline with you before any work starts. Focused projects like a PA install or an LED wall install can turn around much faster than a full building. Talk with our team to see what your project would look like.
-
No. Amplio hires full time staff to do the work instead of subcontracting installation labor out. The same team that designs your system is backed by the team that installs, commissions, and supports it, so we can stand behind every step.
-
Yes, and we design for that. We build the right, smart, simple system for your space and your team, not the biggest or flashiest one. Then we train your staff and volunteers so they're confident running it on Sunday.
-
We stay. You get as-built documentation showing where every cable goes and why, we keep your original system files on record, and we build remote access into our racks so our team can help troubleshoot without you hunting down software. Training, upgrades, and technical questions are all part of the partnership.
-
Yes. Amplio works with churches nationwide, not only in Illinois or the Chicago area.
-
Our five core values guide every project. Church First: we only serve churches, and every decision starts with what's best for yours. Craft: unmatched craftsmanship and attention to detail in every install. Solution Oriented: we design the right solution for your room and your team, and we do the right thing even when it's outside the scope. Integrity: no bait and switch, no surprise change orders, honest recommendations. Win as a Team: your team and ours, working together toward the same Sunday.
